The Syrian industry is considered to be in the embryonic stage based on turnkey procedures & production lines. Currently, production lines are either old or autonomous cells with few or no integration. Activities such as inspection, transportation and packaging tend to be manual while investment tends to be directed towards expansion rather than R&D. The recent increase of the private sector’s share has changed, namely for manufacturing. The main evolving sectors in Syria are food and pharmaceutical industries, home appliance assembly and some chemical plants. Syrian industry has enjoyed a high degree of protectionism and good conditions offered by the state; however, these conditions started to erode and difficulties are hitting many companies |
تعتبر الصناعةَ السوريةَ في المرحلةِ الجنينيةِ و هي تستند على الإجرائياتِ الكاملةِ وخطوطِ الإنتاجِ. إنّ القطاعاتَ الناشئةَ الرئيسيةَ هي صناعات غذائية وصيدلانيةَو تجميع الأدوات الكهربائية المنزلية وبَعْض المصانع الكيميائيةِ. وعلى أية حال فقد تَمتّعتْ هذه الصناعة بدرجة عالية مِنْ الحمايةِ من قبل الحكومة ولكن هذه الحماية بَدأَت تتَآكل وبدأت الصعوباتَ تَضْربُ العديد مِنْ الشركاتِ .
